Welcome to AWOT!
AWOT was founded in 1990, to meet the needs of American women in Ticino. Sixteen women attended the first meeting and, since then our focus has remained the same - to be a strong support group for our members.
The group meets regularly to share information on topics of mutual interest and to provide support for one another. We also plan special events to commemorate American holidays.
In 1997 AWOT co-sponsored the opening of The Book Nook, Ticino's first English Library. AWOT is a member of ACA-American Citizens Abroad, and FAWCO-Federation of American Women Overseas.
